My Favorites

In first three months of 2018, I've discovered a lot of things that I'm simply obsessed with. From books, bloggers, and so much more I wanted to share with you and maybe you'll love them too.

1) Book - I Am That Girl by Alexis Jones

I haven't been much a reader, I'll admit it. However, this book totally changed that. With each page I turned I immediately think of some way to take what she's saying and apply it to my life. I was motivated, inspired and in awe of every piece of advice and wisdom she shared. If you are a girl who is having trouble with figuring out her life or just need some encouragement, then I can't recommend this book enough. If you'd like to find out more about what I took from the book you can check out my post here

2) Devotional - The Lipstick Gospel Devotional by Stephanie May Wilson

It's really no secret that I am obsessed with Stephanie May Wilson and sorry but she will pop again. I have read devotionals in the past and loved them, but I never read one that I could relate so strongly to. This is a 90-day devotional and each day seemed like it was written for whatever weighed on my heart that day. Her stories felt like my stories and her words resonated so perfectly with me. If you are more of a journaling person rather than reading than her Lipstick Gospel Prayer Journal is a perfect choice. I mentioned how I use both in my post about finding faith

3) Blog - Delight Ministries

This one is a little bit of stretch, but hey it's my favorite so let's go with it. Delight is a college women's ministry that has chapters at universities all across the country and now one in Africa. I joined a few months ago and Delight actually is who introduced me to a lot of the favorites on my list. Delight while an organization has my favorite blog. They feature stories written about and by college women from all different universities, backgrounds and experiences. Each story or post has key bible verses and examples of how to implement them in your life. By the time I reach the end of each post I sigh in relief thinking "me too." Even if you aren't in college, aren't apart of a delight chapter, or aren't a big blog reader I suggest taking a look at their blog, you won't be disappointed.

4) Bible - Bibles and Coffee

If you are someone who gets excited about visually appealing things than this one is for you. My bible was a $6 softcover from Amazon. While there's nothing wrong with that at all, I am someone who gets very excited when something matches the aesthetic of my room, office, and school supplies. The Bibles and Coffee founder Jackie produces the most beautiful hand-painted bibles that can be customized to your liking. You can order a custom design, a themed design, or even send in your bible to be recovered and designed. And yes, my bible is white black and gold with touches of blush.

5) Podcast - Girls Night by Stephanie May Wilson

I know I never stop talking about Stephanie but seriously she's amazing. Her podcast was actually the first way I interacted with her content. Each episode is an amazing outlook on a problem women face and how her circle of friends are conquering the issue. These are real women, with real stories, that make a real impact. If she had a superpower it'd be friendship and she shares all about it. If you say you don't like podcasts I would have agreed with you but that just means you need to find one you really love, so check this one out for sure. If you're more of a reader you can also check out her story to finding her faith that she wrote about in The Lipstick Gospel

6) Subscription Box - Faith Box

I just got my first box and I am utterly obsessed! Devotionals, planners, nic-nacs, and so on that all have a meaning. Either the product is Christ related or from a company with Christian based ideals. The products are inspirational and I'm so excited to have found it. I will do a post about all the of the goodies inside and link it.

7) Verse - Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

I saved verse for last because it is something that I am truly in love with. This verse sticks with me all the time and seems applicable in all aspects of my life. I am a worrier, I am insecure, I am a typical girl with doubts. Reminding myself that I am strong, courageous and God will never leave me.

I hope you enjoyed hearing some of my favorites because I know I love them!
