Her Life Travels: Aspen
Aspen Colorado. My picture of Aspen was pretty spot on. When I think of Aspen I picture something more European and less American. I felt like I was in the North Pole, there was a quaint cottage everywhere you turned, with a cute and incredible downtown that did not disappoint.
With two-weeks notice, I got a call asking if I’d be interested in flying out to Aspen to work a 4-day Cocktail Festival. Um, duh. I'm so excited to share with you some of the places we got to go to.

I mean seriously, it's pretty much the reason everyone goes to Aspen. The view is gorgeous and I don't know how we didn't make it up there until our last day. Don't make a rookie mistake, go up and take in the view as soon as you get there.
First place we stopped for breakfast and it was delicious. It set the tone for our stay in Aspen and I highly suggest stopping in.
I just so happen to love tequila so this place was for me, Caroline just came for the scene. This bar was such a fun environment it was on the bar crawl and now I know why. Whether you go for a drink or just to hang out it's worth a stop even if just to check out the decor (check out the skulls below)
The absolute best banana nut muffins around. I fell in love with these adorable corner bakery. They had everything from breakfast sandwiches to pastries and it was delicious all around.
My favorite brands from Apres Ski Cocktail Classic:
- Reyka Vodka - new favorite vodka, seriously it's the best.
- Johnny Walker - participated in their blending lab and won, but still not a scotch whiskey fan but a great experience.
- Hendricks Gin - I mean how can you not love something that has rose water.
- Don Julio - their tasting experience was so cool and super informational, I loved tequila but now I have an appreciation for it.
